Location & Facility
KKB Anadolu Data Center ensures operational continuity through its low-risk geographical location, highly secure campus environment and purpose-built facility architecture designed in accordance with international data center standards.
Strategic Location
Located within the Ankara Organized Industrial Zone, our data center benefits from robust power and telecommunications infrastructure.
Facility Design & Construction
The data center facility has been purpose-built exclusively for data center operations from the ground up.
Protection Against Natural Disasters
The facility structures have been designed by considering potential natural disaster risks such as lightning strikes and flooding.
-
All external walls are equipped with thermal insulation materials. The data center infrastructure and all supporting systems have been designed and deployed in compliance with seismic regulations and earthquake resilience standards.
Power Infrastructure
The energy infrastructure has been designed and operated in compliance with national and international standards.
2N Redundant Infrastructure
Power is supplied from two separate medium-Voltage distribution centers within the facility, operating in an active-active configuration with 2N redundancy.
Secure Power Infrastructure
All power feeds are protected against voltage dips, surges, and momentary interruptions by DRUPS/UPS systems
Cabinet-Level Power Monitoring
No external power cabling is used within the system halls. Power consumption can be monitored at cabinet level through dedicated metering systems.
-
The medium-voltage infrastructure is designed with interconnected redundancy and coupling capabilities.
-
All IT and mechanical infrastructure areas, as well as the entire support building, operate through this infrastructure in an active-active 2N redundant architecture.
-
Enterprise-grade busbar systems have been preferred for DRUPS/UPS systems, low-voltage distribution panels, and all cabinet power feeds. Power distribution is delivered to the system halls entirely through these busbar infrastructures.
-
The fuel tanks supplying the data center are operated with sufficient capacity to power the data center at its current load for at least 72 hours.
-
To maximize fuel efficiency and quality, the infrastructure is supported by a Fuel Polishing system.
-
Main fuel tanks are continuously monitored through cathodic protection systems in order to prevent potential lifecycle degradation.
-
Power infrastructure data collected from sensors is monitored 24/7 and continuously recorded in real time.
Cooling Infrastructure
The cooling infrastructure has been designed and implemented in compliance with national and international standards.
Redundant Cooling Architecture
The cooling infrastructure is designed with a minimum N+2 redundancy architecture.
Continuous Cooling & Humidity Control
The ventilation and cooling systems ensure uninterrupted temperature and humidity control against potential failures 24/7.
Energy-Efficient Cooling Design
Hot / cold aisle containment architecture is utilized to optimize energy efficiency within the cooling systems.
-
The facility has been established in one of Türkiye’s coldest climate regions based on the principle of utilizing external ambient cooling through closed-loop systems for data hall cooling efficiency.
-
System hall temperatures are maintained at 24°C (+/- 3°C).
-
Humidity levels within the system halls are maintained at 50% RH (+/- 25% RH).
-
Both environmental sensors and cabinet-level temperature and humidity sensors are deployed throughout the system halls.
-
All sensor data related to environmental and cabinet conditions is continuously monitored 24/7 and recorded in real time.
Cabinets
Through our cabinet management services, all physical infrastructure can be centrally monitored and managed with operational efficiency.
PDU Infrastructure
Each cabinet includes a minimum of two PDUs. Each PDU is powered by a separate DRUPS/UPS group.
Cabinet Power Capacity
Depending on customer requirements, cabinets are designed to support an average power consumption capacity between 5 kW and 7.5 kW.
Cabinet Access Management
Card access systems are deployed across all standard cabinets and all access logs are securely retained.
-
PDUs can be remotely monitored, and total consumption metrics can be measured across the entire PDU infrastructure.
-
Intelligent PDUs are utilized for power distribution of active devices installed within data center cabinets. These units can be vertically mounted within cabinets at 0U height.
-
Intelligent PDUs support both single-phase and three-phase configurations.
Cabling
The cabling infrastructure is designed and installed by KKB and delivered with warranty documentation and test reports.
Cabling Infrastructure
Copper and fiber-optic cables are routed through separate cable trays and through the fiber runner, and are terminated in the cabinets.
High-Quality Infrastructure Components
High-quality products are utilized for all fiber optic and copper structured cabling components, including cables and connection equipment.
Cabling Tests
All copper and fiber cabling systems and related components include original manufacturer factory testing certifications.
-
The deployed copper cabling infrastructure supports 10/100/1000 Megabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
-
The fiber optic cabling infrastructure is deployed with a minimum OM4 standard and supports speeds up to 10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet.
Perimeter Security
Campus entry and exit operations are strictly managed through special authorization procedures and request/access management systems.
Monitoring
The entire data center operational environment is monitored and recorded 24/7 using multiple camera systems with varying capabilities and specifications.
Physical Security
Multiple biometric and conventional security checkpoints are deployed throughout the data center environment. All security personnel are employed directly within the KKB organization.
Perimeter Security
The data center perimeter is protected through reinforced concrete barriers, fencing systems, and razor wire infrastructure. Additional protection is provided through emergency announcement and warning systems.
-
Vehicle access is controlled through road blocker systems and is permitted only for specially authorized vehicles.
-
Camera recordings are retained for one year, while system hall recordings are securely stored across geographically separate locations.
-
A total of seven physical and electronic security checkpoints must be passed before reaching cabinets within the white space. All operational areas within the data center are monitored and controlled by authorized KKB security teams.
Monitoring Systems
The data center facility and infrastructure are managed 24/7 using advanced automation and monitoring technologies.
Infrastructure Monitoring
Our data center infrastructure is continuously monitored through BMS, PMS, SCADA, and DCIM platforms.
Fire Suppression Systems
Environmentally friendly NOVEC 1230 gas-based and water mist fire suppression systems with a low environmental impact are used throughout the facility.
24/7 Technical Support
Dedicated KKB NOC teams continuously monitor data center systems 24/7 and provide operational customer support services.
-
Nearly 5,000 sensors and detectors integrated with fire detection and gas suppression systems continuously monitor and manage all indoor and outdoor operational environments.
-
BMS platforms provide automated building management together with cooling infrastructure monitoring and management capabilities.
-
PMS/SCADA platforms deliver real-time monitoring and automation across all power consumption points.
-
DCIM platforms provide centralized monitoring and management for all data halls and operational environments within the facility.
Environmental Management
KKB conducts all its operations in an environmentally responsible manner, with sustainability and efficiency among its core priorities.
LEED Platinum Certificate
KKB Anadolu Data Center is the first data center in Türkiye to be awarded LEED Platinum Green Building Certification.
Regular Carbon and Water Footprint Measurement
Annual carbon and water footprint measurements are conducted, and improvement initiatives are carried out based on the results.
Renewable Energy Utilization
The facility supports environmentally responsible operations through the use of solar panels and rainwater reuse systems.
-
All products utilized within the data center are selected in compliance with LEED Platinum environmental standards and are operated according to sustainability-oriented operational principles, including cooling infrastructure systems.
-
Solar panels are positioned to maximize solar energy efficiency. A portion of the electricity consumed by the data center is generated directly through solar panels installed on facility rooftops and parking areas and is utilized within the operational infrastructure. The data center adopts operational practices focused on balancing energy consumption through renewable resources.
-
As part of environmentally sustainable operational practices, rainwater collected from multiple locations within the facility is stored centrally and reused for green landscape irrigation.
